Outdoor celebration of the "Ash Monday."

   Has not been ascertained, the ancient origins of this feast of festive holiday is celebrated while the metheortia Carnival and the beginning of Lent.

1.In the past people enjoyed their lives with fewer requirements. Most celebrations were taken place outdoors. People made large groups and all that interested them was the present moment. They knew how to live.

2. People respected the tradition and kept many of the customs of their birth place . Some of them even now have been revived in many parts of Greece.

3. People (had fun) outdoors and always celebrated with traditional dances wearing traditional costumes, through which we can see the historical background of each place.

4. Traditional instruments played a dominant role in each aspect of their lives,either in traditional feasts or festivals.

5. Traditional Easter celebrations are always taking place outdoors. A typical greek tradition for Easter Sunday is the lamb spitting.
